Mobile top-ups are available to paid merchants with the service enabled and the required wallet setup. Check the phone number carefully before confirming: the recipient, operator and amount should match exactly what the customer asked for.
01. Check that the outlet is ready
Your outlet needs sufficient wallet funds and the cashier needs the POS wallet PIN. Ask your manager to check access and funding before you start selling. Top-ups cannot be held or completed offline.
Managers should review the selling prices in PrepayNation Topups. The wallet uses USD, so businesses selling in another currency should also check the exchange rate in Settings, then Currencies.
02. Choose the operator and recipient
In the POS, open Topups and filter by country and operator. Choose Send Top Up, then enter the mobile number and any optional email details requested. Select the amount.
Read the phone number back to the customer. Check the recipient, what they will receive and what they will pay before choosing Add to Order. Do not assume the customer's operator from the number alone.
03. Complete the confirmation and payment
Choose Process Payment and follow the wallet confirmation: enter the required PIN, then choose Confirm & Charge when the details are correct. Complete the customer-payment steps shown and record the method actually used.
Keep the PIN private. If a confirmation is unclear, check the transaction status before trying again; a second request could create a second top-up.
04. Check pending or failed transactions
Review pending top-ups in Wallet, then Transactions. Do not tell the customer delivery succeeded while the transaction is still pending. Keep the transaction reference available for follow-up.
When an operator top-up fails, the operator amount returns to the outlet wallet automatically. That wallet return does not refund the customer's cash or separate payment. Follow your business's refund process for the failed items and explain the result to the customer.
