A receipt gives the customer a useful record and helps your team find the sale if a question comes up. Check your receipt details before a busy shift, then print from the completed transaction rather than entering the sale again.
01. Review your receipt details
Open Settings, then Receipts, and review the options available in your workspace. Check the business details you intend customers to see. Ask an authorised team member to make changes if these settings are outside your access.
Make sure the printer your business uses is connected and has paper. Resolve a missing printer or paper problem before customers are waiting for a receipt.
02. Print after payment is confirmed
Complete the customer's payment using your normal checkout process. From Payment Received, choose Print Receipt and follow any print prompt shown.
Check that the receipt belongs to the transaction just completed. Confirm the products, total and payment method when reviewing your setup. A printed page is not a substitute for checking a separate card terminal or payment provider's result.
03. Use the last-receipt option carefully
If the most recent completed sale needs another copy, use Print Last Receipt. Check that another cashier or transaction has not changed which sale is now the last one.
For an older sale, first locate the original transaction and use the receipt options available there. Ask your manager if you cannot find the right record. Do not create another sale just to produce a receipt.
04. Check before retrying
If nothing prints, check the printer connection, paper and any displayed error. Confirm the original sale's status before doing anything at checkout. A printing problem does not mean the payment failed.
